Attorneys for high-profile lawyer Tony Buzbee are challenging a sworn declaration from the woman who recently withdrew her sexual assault allegations against Jay-Z.

The woman, identified as Jane Doe, now says she never met Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, and that her previous allegations against him were false.

Buzbee’s attorneys have asked a judge to strike the declaration, describing it as “irrelevant and inflammatory” and arguing that it contradicts her earlier sworn statements.

The original sexual assault lawsuit was dropped in February 2025. Jay-Z continues to pursue separate federal claims against Buzbee and others, including allegations of malicious prosecution and civil conspiracy.
