Ye’s legal team has asked a judge to postpone his upcoming civil discrimination trial until May 2027.

The case stems from a 2024 lawsuit filed by former Donda Academy security guard Benjamin Provo, who accused the rapper of discrimination, retaliation and labour violations. Ye has denied wrongdoing in the case.

His attorneys argue they need additional time to prepare and say the current October 12 trial date could conflict with planned performances in Russia, although those concerts have faced uncertainty over venue arrangements.

The legal team also says the recent deportation of Ye’s former representative Milo Yiannopoulos could affect preparations because of his involvement with Ye’s operations during Provo’s employment.
